Come and visit us on a Friday in Katesgrove Children’s Centre Reading for a chat, a play, a tea or coffee and a helping hand.
When: Every Friday during term time: 9.30am – 11.30 am
Location: Kategrove Children’s Centre, Waterloo Meadows/Elgar Rd, Reading RG2 0BN
The cost of the group is £2 per family per week. We welcome multiples of all ages (although most attendees are below school age), their siblings, expectant mothers, nannies, parents, grandparents and so on.
The Club serves tea, coffee, squash, biscuits and cakes, thanks to Margaret who is volunteer and Grandmother of Twins. Our room at Katesgrove has a reading area, soft play room, sensory room and main hall with toys, seating, rugs, baby area and bouncing chairs as well as a fabulous outside play area. This secure surrounded outdoor area has a sand pit, climbing frames, slides, see-saws and many other outdoor toys.
There is an arts and crafts activity every week, often centred around seasonal events.
We often invite guest visitors to help and support including our own resident children’s hair dresser, portrait photographer, sleep fairy, health visitors, breast feeding councilor. Details of visits will be posted on our Facebook page and our future events page
We have end of term party games, Easter egg hunt and our famous teddy bears picnic to mark the end of the summer term.
Along side the fantastic facilities that Katesgrove offers, our twins group is a warm welcome and sympathetic ear from like-minded people. You can get some great advice from someone who knows. There is always someone to watch of your twins while you tend to their siblings or just get a cup of tea and a biscuit. It’s a great place for some pre-natal advice for expectant mothers too from buggies to cots, just ask those who have been there.
Many of our parents have multiples with older siblings, it’s also a great place for them to enjoy some quality playtime.
Come along and see us, we’d love to meet you!
